A charter island with a hard season and very fast turnarounds.
Ibiza runs on charter. Yachts here change guests constantly through the summer, which means heavy use of everything on board and almost no time between one group and the next.
Heavy use, short gaps
A charter yacht in Ibiza does more in a fortnight than a private boat does in a season, and it shows.
Every shower is run every day. The galley works hard, so the extraction fills with grease faster than anywhere else on the circuit. The air conditioning runs flat out against heat and humidity, and the coils collect the result.
At the same time the gap between charters is measured in hours, not days. Whatever gets done has to fit between the last guests leaving and the next arriving, with the yacht presentable at the end of it.
That is workable for the galley extraction and for the water system. It is not workable for a full air-side job, so on a charter yacht here the air side belongs at the start or the end of the season, not in the middle of it.

Front-load and back-load the season
In a charter programme the only real windows are before the first booking and after the last.
Before the season: everything, including the air side, so the yacht starts clean and the summer is only maintenance.
During the season: water treatment and sampling, and galley extraction, timed to a turnaround. After the season: the full air-side job before the yacht is closed up or moved on.

The sequence is the same whichever berth you are on in Ibiza. What changes is the timing, and that is planned around the yacht rather than around us.

A technician goes through the yacht with the crew: which outlets are used daily and which almost never, where the air handling units sit, what the crew has actually noticed.
The visit is planned around you
We fit the work into the window you have — between charters, during a yard period, or over a quiet weekend alongside.
We work alongside
No yard move and no lift. The heavy equipment stays on the quay; only hoses and a small dosing unit come aboard, on protected decks.
You get it in writing
Sampling points, what was done, and the laboratory report where water was analysed. That document is what closes the job.
We come to the yacht, work at the berth and leave a written report. The crew keeps running the boat.

Working in Ibiza: frequently asked questions
What can you do in a single turnaround?
The water system and the sampling, and the galley extraction. Those are the three that reliably finish inside a few hours with the yacht left presentable.
The galley extraction needs doing more often here. Why?
Because the galley works harder. Grease builds by how much cooking happens, not by how many months have passed, and a busy charter yacht reaches that point far sooner.
Can the air side really not be done in season?
Not properly. It means panels off in every cabin, and there is no charter gap long enough for that. Doing half of it is worse than waiting.
