Imperia is a marina port rather than a refit town: yachts come for the berth, the season and the position between Italy and France. We come to the berth, work from the quay and leave the yacht ready for guests.
A berth port, which changes what is practical
In a marina full of yachts being used, the job has to be quiet, clean and finished inside the window you give us.
The fresh water system is the one that fits a marina stop best. The units stay on the pontoon or the quay, the decks are covered, and the work runs without anything being dismantled inside the yacht.
The galley extraction is the other job that suits a berth: filters and the duct run behind the hood can be degreased without the interior being opened up, and it is usually the fastest way to deal with a cooking smell that has started to travel into the saloon.
Fan coil and duct work is possible here too, but it means panels off in the cabins. If there are guests aboard next week, that is a conversation to have before we start rather than halfway through.

Between guests, not during
On this coast the calendar is driven by charters and owner trips. The work fits in the gaps.
A turnaround between guests is enough for the water system and the galley extraction. It is not enough for a full air-side job, and we will say so rather than start something we cannot finish.
If the yacht is here for the whole summer, the quiet weeks at either end are worth booking early — everyone else on the Riviera wants the same ones.
From the first call to the report
The sequence is the same whichever berth you are on in Imperia. What changes is the timing, and that is planned around the yacht rather than around us.
We look before we quote
A technician goes through the yacht with the crew: which outlets are used daily and which almost never, where the air handling units sit, what the crew has actually noticed.
The visit is planned around you
We fit the work into the window you have — between charters, during a yard period, or over a quiet weekend alongside.
We work alongside
No yard move and no lift. The heavy equipment stays on the quay; only hoses and a small dosing unit come aboard, on protected decks.
You get it in writing
Sampling points, what was done, and the laboratory report where water was analysed. That document is what closes the job.
Every port has its own rhythm. We plan the visit around the berth and the crew, not the other way round.

Working in Imperia: frequently asked questions
Can you work with guests on board?
For the water system and the galley extraction, usually yes, with the timing agreed in advance. For anything that means opening cabin joinery, no — that needs the yacht clear.
How long does a water system treatment take alongside?
Most of a working day for the treatment itself. The laboratory result takes a few days more, which is why the sample should be taken at the start of your window.
Do you come over from France or from Italy?
From our base in Tuscany. Imperia is a straightforward run and we plan it around your dates.
