Yacht Sanitization in Porto Cervo
Costa Smeralda, where the season is short, intense and unforgiving of delays.
Porto Cervo in August is not a place to start a job you cannot finish before dinner. We plan around that: the survey happens early, the work happens in the gap, and nothing is left half done on a yacht with guests arriving.
A guest port, first and last
Everything here is judged on how the yacht feels to the people on board. That is also what makes air and water worth getting right.
The complaints that matter in Porto Cervo are the ones guests notice: a shower that smells of sulphur first thing in the morning, a cabin that smells stale for the first ten minutes after the air conditioning starts, a cooking smell that reaches the saloon. None of them are mechanical failures, and all of them come from the same few places.
A short guest turnaround is enough to treat the water system and to deal with the galley extraction. It is not enough to open every fan coil, so if that is the real cause we say so and plan it for the end of the season rather than pretend.
The work is done quietly, with the decks protected and the equipment kept on the quay.

Everything we can treat while you are in Porto Cervo
The same six jobs make up almost every visit. On most yachts more than one of them is needed at the same time, which is why we survey first and then plan them into a single stop.

Prepare in May, repair in October
The Costa Smeralda season is too compressed to absorb surprises. The yachts that have a quiet August are the ones that did the work in spring.
Before the season: treat the water system, sample it, and deal with the air side while there is still time for a second pass if something comes back wrong.
After the season: the full air-side job, with panels off, before the yacht goes into winter layup carrying a summer of dust and damp on the coils.
From the first call to the report
The sequence is the same whichever berth you are on in Porto Cervo. What changes is the timing, and that is planned around the yacht rather than around us.
We look before we quote
A technician goes through the yacht with the crew: which outlets are used daily and which almost never, where the air handling units sit, what the crew has actually noticed.
The visit is planned around you
We fit the work into the window you have — between charters, during a yard period, or over a quiet weekend alongside.
We work alongside
No yard move and no lift. The heavy equipment stays on the quay; only hoses and a small dosing unit come aboard, on protected decks.
You get it in writing
Sampling points, what was done, and the laboratory report where water was analysed. That document is what closes the job.

Every port has its own rhythm. We plan the visit around the berth and the crew, not the other way round.

Every intervention is carried out by AirBio technicians employed and trained in house, never subcontracted. We work under certified management systems and close each job with a technical report the captain can file on board.

Working in Porto Cervo: frequently asked questions
Can you come during the season?
Yes, but the window has to be real. Tell us the gap between guests and we will tell you honestly what fits in it.
How discreet is the work?
The units stay on the quay, the decks are covered and the team works in uniform. On a guest turnaround nobody should be able to tell we were there except that the problem is gone.
The shower smells only in the morning. Why?
Because the water has been standing in that branch overnight and warming up. It is the classic sign that the problem is in the line rather than in the tank, and it is one of the reasons we sample at several points rather than one.
In Porto Cervo this season?
Tell us the yacht, the berth and the gap between guests. A technician calls you back within 24 hours and says straight away what fits.
Tell us about the yacht
Yacht length, marina, systems and what you have noticed on board. A technician reads the message and calls you back to plan the survey.
